The Binoculars are the simplest of the recon optics. They give a low magnification view to spot enemy infantry and vehicles at a distance. They are the cheapest of the four optics sold in the shop.
Overview
The shop describes the Binoculars as a way to spot enemy infantry and vehicles with low magnification. Unlike the Range Finder, they show no distance. The data gives no spotting range, so how far they reveal targets is not yet known.
How it works
- The Binoculars are held and used by aiming, which uses the item’s secondary input.
- While they are in use, maximum movement speed is halved, the same effect the medical items apply.
- Starting a sprint or a tactical sprint interrupts the use. So does inspecting the item.
The other recon optics are the Monocular, the Range Finder and the Infrared Range Finder.
